Drew this during a difficult time where everything felt like it was getting worse in the world. It was also pretty cold at the time, which I guess played into the theme, but I just found myself thinking "You have to stay warm, the cold will kill you before the heartache." I guess it helped me focus on the things I could affect and change rather than getting caught up in feeling hopeless.

So this was originally a vent piece, but I kind of found myself wanting to play with a VHS aesthetic again for it. I do like the idea of Zee being the mysterious mentor figure who shows up to get the hero back on their feet and start the adventure off. Hopefully now that it's warmer and things are better (at least, emotionally speaking) I'll start drawing lighter content again, but I wanted to post this one anyway since I was happy with how it came out.
