AmeriCorps NCCC has been recently suddenly shut down due to budget cuts by DOGE. Americorps is a young adult volunteer service program that helps many people and communities. Its members build houses, maintain trails, help in schools, and are at the forefront of disaster relief to name a few. To shut this program down when its members are paid so little and do so much for this country is short sighted and greedy. What can we do?
