Btw, this is coming from the kid who drew to feel safe, who dreamed of making cool and cute things because anything is possible on paper. No matter how much tech advances, making art is there to connect with our inner self 💛

I would like to talk more about this whole topic of generative ai some time in the future, but it's a nuanced and complex topic, which goes waaay beyond ai itself, with so many perspectives worth addressing. I can only really speak from my point of view as an illustrator.

I've been feeling overwhelmed, and emotional about it all. But so far, the best conclusion I've found is that we should keep making art regardless. If anything, generative ai has made me more aware than ever of the reach and impact art has in our lives, I think making heartfelt works is more important than ever
