By the lake where willows weep,
A tired lyolf sits, serene and deep,
In a kimono, soft and bright,
Her lavender eyes bathe in daylight.
The cherry blossoms whisper, fall,
A pink-tinted breeze, a gentle call,
They flutter down in silken grace,
A blanket of petals fills the space.
The koi fish swim in quiet flow,
Beneath the surface, soft winds blow,
Their scales like fire, bright as flame,
Dancing in ripples, wild yet tame.
She watches, her heart at ease,
The world around her full of peace,
In the stillness, time stands still,
As nature’s beauty bends to will.
The soft scent of blossoms fills the air,
A quiet harmony everywhere,
And in the dance of light and shade,
Her dreams, in calmness swayed.
This felt like an appropriate piece to end winter with and quietly usher spring in with...
And apparently the koi and cherry blossoms agree with Whisper; everything is starting to come out and bask in the warm, pleasant weather for the season!
If you are still getting snow where you live? Sorry, but not really. I cannot relate. It has felt like spring where I live since early March! Haha. But happy spring everyone! I hope everyone is doing well and ready for some warm temperatures.
