Whisper couldn’t help but grin as she padded down the old shrine path, her tail swishing in rhythm with the breeze. The scent of fresh earth and blooming cherry blossoms filled the air, painting the Kyoto sky in soft pastels.
It was the first day of spring— and her first day off in what felt like forever. No missions. No emails. No noisy city buzz.
Just her and the grove tucked quietly behind the hills, where time moved a little slower.
Her paws crunched on the mossy stone as she reached her favorite spot: a weathered, wooden swing secured between two sakura trees. Whisper had discovered it years ago, and since then, it had become her secret retreat from everything and everyone. She didn't dare tell anyone about it, mostly because she was afraid they would come find and bother her.
She leapt onto the swing in one graceful bound, and started to swing towards the sky; it was just like she remembered.
The swing soared, her hair and tail catching the wind as petals rained around her like confetti.
The world blurred into pinks, blues, and golds, the warm breeze whispering promises of lazy afternoons and carefree moments-
...it was as if she was chasing after happiness she once knew so long ago.
Oh look at me being a productive wolfcat and posting art in a timely manner! LOL.
I finally have some downtime off work and can catch up on posting art-

I love the fact that Whisper's fur changes colors with the seasons. I still have not decided which version of her fur I prefer, but most of my viewers seem to like her brown, spring/summer coat more- why, I am not sure.
Her temper is a bit more volatile in the summer than winter due to how warm it is, but hey...more power to you fans, lol
An absolutely gorgeous piece by: Ellever-10. I love the soft tones in this piece; it's so peaceful and relaxing to me. I highly recommend watching them if you are not already~
