theres a 2 pixel allowance before the collision field is hit and you lose. its a common issue in all fast side scrolling puzzle games like this. it has to take time to calculate the collision barriers position by per every other pixel to allow for smooth transition and detection. remember that. yes i'm one of those kinds of game nerds.
