Kaada, an alien character for a still-far-off story idea!
She is a Sagittarian, a sapient alien species all-but conscripted into service by an imperialistic United Sol Federation to pilot powerful not-Gundam mecha, their psionic powers playing a key part in the special reactive control system these mecha use. Kaada in particular is a veteran of one conflict wherein she narrowly survived hers getting skewered through the cockpit (hence the scars and the missing limb), and later went on to become a jaded freighter pilot, pretty much left high-and-dry by the USF just as most of her fellow pilots were.
