Meet Mack. A cheetah that the sabertooth Lyla was rivals with as a kid before she had to be transferred to an orphanage. Mack was born Asra Nyla but she would later change her image entirely to gain some freedom from her demanding parents. Her parents wanted her to be the best athlete and tried to mold her into that. Lyla and she would compete against each other when they were 8 years old and would often win either first or second place. Their competitive drive drove both of them to push each other to the limits. When Lyla left their school when she turned 10 Asra felt she lost some of her purpose in life. Instead she was faced with the harsh reality that her parents controlled her and was trying to forge her future without her approval. From there she vowed to defy her parents in any way she can. As soon as she was able she transitioned to a male, changed his name and took on a job that would keep him as far away from her obsessive parents as much as possible. Thus Mack was born and with it came a lot of freedom. It would be over 10 years later that he would randomly encounter Lyla again. There was no hard feelings and in fact they had a connection due to similarities their parents had put them through. Thus turning a childhood rivalry into a firm friendship.
