The Suncrest is a large pterosaur native to the shores near the Great Coastal Grasslands. It is a highly predatory species, typically aiming for creatures much smaller than it... However, through sheer belligerence, it is quick to attack any people who are unlucky enough to come across it. Males are particularly nasty, especially in the spring when their bodies are overflowing with testosterone.
Female Suncrests are mostly aggressive when nesting season begins, and something comes close to their eggs. They can be differentiated by having significantly smaller and less colorful crests.

The Suncrests love eating fish, though much like a heron, they will go after anything small enough to fit down their gullet.
