When I first started playing nitw, it seemed to me that May and Bea had some kind of romance, but now that I've completed the game, I think they can certainly support each other as much as sisters, but not as partners. They're too traumatized, and Bea doesn't seem to be interested in women.
However, I think they could often have sleepovers with each other, it seems like something peaceful.
