Dumortis
Dumortis is an enigmatic and contradictory figure who represents a unique amalgamation of two worlds. On the one hand, she belongs to a nation of slayers known for their cruelty and traditions that require their members to observe strict customs, including eating the meat of other creatures. On the other hand, she has always been an opponent of these customs, considering them inhumane and cruel. From an early age, Mortis experienced internal conflict. While her surroundings insisted on following the traditions, she felt that it was wrong. However, pressure from her people forced her to obey, and she was often forced to participate in rituals that left a deep mark on her soul. In one fateful moment, while climbing a high mountain to perform a ritual, Mortis was separated from the group by an injured leg and fell into a crevasse onto a bed of strange crystalline ore, which she later learned would give her great power that would cost her dearly, it absorbed the power of the abyss. It was something that changed her forever. This power not only enhanced her abilities, giving her a second pair of wings, her snow-white body colored in blue-dark patterns symbolizing her merging with the entity from the abyss that had found her self and brought a different voice to her consciousness. Her face was slowly replaced by her second neighbor's, showing that she could not escape from their “union”. At first it was only a light whisper, but as time went on it became more and more insistent, urging her to take actions that contradicted her inner beliefs. Gradually the two voices in her head merged into one, and she became part of this foreign entity, which changed her perception of the world. Shadow Mortis now fights her inner demons and external enemies. She is not only a slayer, but a protector of those who cannot defend themselves. Her love of dolphin meat was the traumatic trigger of her childhood-it was the only thing that reminded her of that time.Which soon turned into some kind of mania and unhealthy attraction . She is able to fly at incredible speeds thanks to her two pairs of wings, making her one of the fastest creatures in her world. Her white and blue palette symbolizes hope and light, while the black half of her face symbolizes the dark forces of the abyss with which she is bound. This has greatly affected her mind making her emotional state quite unstable at times. But a small amount of hope keeps her from being swallowed up by the abyss.
