Here, I used Hero Forge to create Cassie and Jake from K. A. Applegate's Animorphs series as anthropomorphic animals: Cassie as an anthropomorphic wolf (her battle morph) and Jake as an anthropomorphic tiger (his battle morph), holding hands. It's exactly how I would have liked it: a loving couple who can't be separated by anything. I wanted to give them a bit of a superhero element.
As a boy, I enjoyed reading the Animorphs books (I also watched the TV series), but certain developments and the ending didn't appeal to me at all. My expectations weren't met. The ending left a bitter taste in my mouth. I really resent the author for that.
You want to feel good when you finish a book, watch a movie, or finish a series. The final volume of C. S. Lewis's "The Chronicles of Narnia" already disappointed me (because of Susan Pevensie), as did the ending of the film "Dead Poets Society", the finale of the TV series "Game of Thrones", and the finale of Curtis Jobling's "Wereworld" book series (the basis for the Netflix animated series "Wolf King"), to name a few examples of unsatisfying endings.
