Just another successful rescue for our barefooted hypno superhero, Moonwolf! Harley was really lucky π£πΊ
---
For this comm, when I read up on the details, it was mentioned that Cale moonlights as a superhero at night, wearing a cool suit, a mask, and of course, barefeet. Because of the whole context surrounding around superheros either fighting badguys, or saving people, there was a lot of cool ideas I could use and to have it be in the context of a foot focus piece. The first one I thought of was a bomb defusal, with Harley as a hostage. Initially I just wanted Moonwolf to rub his feet on Harley's face, but then I was told Moonwolf's feet also has a relaxing/hypnotizing scent to them. I'd might as well play into it by not having Harley lick, and just have him *breathe* them in!
Also just as a fun experiment, because not a lot of people would still refer to a top-down 3rd perspective shot whenever they make backgrounds, and I thought that my idea would benefit from having them be up high with the viewer looking down and try to play into height with the background.
Overall, happy with the result!

Honestly the perspective and the detailing in this are fucking awesome, but what I especially love about this?: The coloring you chose for Cale's foot-aroma is absolutely peak type shit πππ
it is VERY hard & complicated to depict a form of convincing visible foot-smell w/o it seeming either overly dopey/cartoonish or just straight-up nasty at first glance. Most artists I know would just make that a white steam-trail and call it a day (perfectly acceptable mindyou, and perhaps even preferred in many scenarios), but that pinkish-teal-ish psychedelic coloring to complement the hypnosis in Harley's eyes is an excellent choice to sell the idea of a hypnotic smell.
Truly excellent work as always from our distinguished boi <3
