Mourning for the beauty of the sunlight and its warmth, Astarion urged Pascal to share this side of himself that’s been locked deep inside his damaged mind. I figured these two would do something like this right before taking down the netherbrain, rejecting DarkUrge/Bhaal, Astarion not ascending, “save the world”, and rid themselves of the tadpoles for good.
Of course, this is them rejecting SOME of their “evil” choices.
