Perhaps Junip makes Casper feel something about himself he dosen't like. Maybe Junip's outgoing personality dosen't leave much room for introverted Casper to be noticed at work and they feel unappreciated. Perhaps, they subconsciously blame themselves for this. It seems to me that Junip's extroverted nature is clearly valued by others, but Casper's quiet introversion is (at least in his mind) not appreciated.

Like, if I was to continuously and loudly irritate someone who had a hangover I'd be presumed to be being passively aggressive, and rightly so because I'd never be so stupid as to do so to someone who I knew would suffer from it and who I didn't hate, but the second that person's suffering is chronic instead of acute they're just expected to not merely fucking bear it but grin like a idiot the whole time they're suffering, so as not to make other people feel glum.
