Survivor's Recollection:
Year 2035, 7 years after the cosmic strife.
It has been many long years, but I think humanity has finally settled into a peaceful rhythm with our new goddess. Though, much of the what remains of our world is still but a mystery beyond our small lakeside outpost. We number 38. a few families, both new and old. Ah... But perhaps I should start at the beginning? Yes. Someone with still vivid memories should record the events dow- Damn. Water pump chewed a gear-
It all started in '28. Voyager II started sending back alarm bells. It was all across tv. Scientists and government officials pointed every damn satellite at the thing. Something in the Oort cloud, something big. An interstellar entity, with an appetite for water rich planets. And worst of all, it was accelerating towards Earth. Within a month, Europa was gone. And a week after that... You... You could see it with the naked eye. A black voided mass with tendrils. It just hung there in the sky slowly getting bigger...
Turns out there was a contingency plan set in place. The church had been studying the nature of divinity and the metaphysical for decades. They were experimenting with a vessel for godhood. Perhaps to bring full realization to their god. Sure was a plan crazier than throwing every nuke we ever made at that... Thing in the sky. Yeah, turns out it could absorb radiation...
Hitch in the plan was... Belief. The vessel needed devout followers. Without them, it was simply mortal. Powerless. It sure got them when Mars was thrown into the sun... The time came as the creature had stopped at Earth's sphere of influence. We caught it at it's most vulnerable- during it's deceleration into orbit.
A blast of energy birthed our new goddess. Near vaporized most of western Europe and the Mediterranean. But the whole world could see her. Wreathed in white fur and golden light, she stood tall and stalwart high into the atmosphere. Radiant double halos stretched far across the horizon. Large wings beat the air as she took flight...
That was the day our world changed. The monster is gone. It's corpse now orbits the sun. And our goddess roams the planet in victory. She visits once per year, blessing those few who remain with her radiant light.

Uhhhh... So... Any relation to recent events is entirely coincidental. Honestly, I was kinda thinking about delaying posting this on account of it's religious iconography, but then again that sort of group is already pre-disposed to disliking me anyway. Still, I'm pretty proud of this one!
It's been a good while since I last drew Constance. She's one of the older, sentimental designs in my possession. Her original creator passed on a few years back so, I guess you could say I'm trying to keep the memory alive by drawing one of their designs. It's not a traditional Macro artwork, But I think it's plenty plalatable for the normal audience
