Years ago, Miri of the Irrah line and heir to that familial prophecy knew her firstborn daughter would need to be prepared if the curse befell her. She sought any number of sages and mentors to teach and train her. Eventually, she found someone suitable.

Chon Fuipui, Master of the Jehanashi style, would take the young girl Hale under his wing and train her on a one-on-one basis. It took over a decade, and at her mother's direction, he pushed the girl to either break past her limits or to just break. Hale emerged as one of the finest martial artists he had ever taught, though he remained ashamed at how much of a living weapon he made of her. And so he swore to never take another student.

If only he could see Hale now, retired from the mercenary warrior life into which he molded her, and with a family to boot.

Master Fuipui is meant to be the quintessential old martial arts master, inspired by the likes of Muten Roshi, Genkai, Cologne, or Qui-Gon Jinn. Being past his physical peak, he emphasizes efficiency of motion and precision of action.

The disks around his wrists and ankles serve to refine his power further, glowing faintly with the tireless flow of chi he maintains.
