A rather uncommon TIE variant, the TIE Clutch. Boasting a set shield generators, the Clutch is much more durable than the basic TIE Fighter while holes were cut into the cockpit ball and viewports installed so as to improve the pilot's field of vision.

Armament is mounted on the tips of each wing; the top wing boasts an ion cannon and the lower two feature laser cannons. Clutches apparently still retain the hardpoints for guns under the "chin" of the cockpit ball, although its not known if additional guns can be mounted there.

Agility is excellent; the Clutch is more nimble than an X-Wing, and while a bit slower than the basic TIE Fighter, it can still match an X-Wing in speed. Like other TIEs, the Clutch lacks a life support system and a hyperdrive, so range is still rather short.

The name Clutch comes from the ship's basic appearance; the wings appear to be a set of talons "clutching" the cockpit ball.

One of my favourite TIE Fighter variants, the TIE Clutch. I built it by modifying a Lego TIE Inteceptor, and it turned out to be a fairly simple mod. Due to lack of spare parts, I couldn't put in the viewports on the sides of the cockpit ball.
