The prototype Enlargenator 500 successfully got Emmet back to his normal size. Even a few extra inches taller, the wombat remarked to his apparent pleasure. In any event he considered the incident closed. Everyone learned an important lesson about following proper safety procedures and not operating size-altering machinery when your allergies are acting up.
Until the following morning when Sully awoke to news reports about a giant "beaver-like entity" stomping angrily in the direction the City—the direction towards which all giant entities must stomp.
A sinking suspicion gnawing at his gut, Sully raced to the Burrow as fast as he could. The 15-foot-tall, worryingly Emmet-shaped hole in the side of the mound confirmed his suspicion. Those "few extra inches" hadn't stopped—evidently the Enlargenator had something of a delayed effect.
So he did what he had to. He loaded the Shrinkotron 1000 in the company van and sped down the freeway.
Problem #1: What happens when a wombat grows to 50 times his normal size and the lengths of his neural synapses increase accordingly? Answer: he doesn't remain rational, that's for sure.
Problem #2: How do you get an irrational, very plus-sized wombat into a position appropriate to blast him with a shrink-ray without endangering uninvolved civilians?
Answer: get your buddy Bryce to tempt him with the one thing that's sure to attract his attention.
It'll work. It's bound to. They're experts after all!

So glad the city decided to bough the wombat insurance; you can never be enough precautious with those folks around, if you don't believe me, ask the a u s t r a l i a n s and their National Fund anti wombat-related disasters/abnormalities

All my life I've been wondering if donuts are really THAT delicious. I tried a donut, like in cartoons and movies, and it didn't seem worthwhile to me. Which universe are the donuts of Homer and Emmet from..
Bryce's face is an lmao. But I think it's important that he agreed to this crazy adventure.

Donuts run the gamut from awful to delicious like a lot of foods. However, Emmet's love of donuts was probably directly inspired by Homer's.
I think Bryce shares my tendency to agree to things in the hope they'll blow over, and eventually he finds that he's said "yes" one too many times...
