Crimson Blackheard was hatched a slave on a slaver ship. She was never sold for being too "rowdy" with clients (read: she would break their bones if they tried touching her). At 15, she broke her chains and strangled her captor with it. Since then, she's been the most feared pirate on the seas. When she lost her arm in combat, she learned she had a horrible wasting disease, later known as Blackheart's disease, for which there was no cure. While she slowed its process by replacing much of her innards with mechanical parts, she eventually made a deal with a demon to grant her endless life. She eventually beat this demon into submission, granting her ghastly abilities and his seemingly eternal gratitude. Bow to the Empress of the seas!
