Probably like everyone else, there are some characters created by artists in the furry fandom that I really like. I really like Onta's Jesse. I really like Gideon's Ruger. I have huge throbbing boners for Jijix's Ransom. But there's one character that I always think of first: Peritian's Edhel.

I've always thought of Edhel as the cool, quiet, mysterious kid in class. Like in these mangas/animes where there's a new student, very attractive but very reserved, always looking through the window and not paying attention to the other kids. Of course, everyone in the class is gossiping about him, voraciously curious, and everyone is trying to be the one he'll open up to.

This is pretty much what I had in mind when I came up with this idea. Edhel is the new kid in Stripes' class, and Stripes is trying hard, mostly failing, to establish a connection with him, while trying to uncover what's his story. Edhel mostly brushes him off with a few stern, uninterested glances, sometimes a word or two. This time though, he accepted Stripes walks him on his way home. The conversation is nonexistant, but Stripes is confident this is a major step. This thought endeares him, his own steps getting more confident.

If you're wondering, no, this is not the first page to a comic involving Edhel and Stripes, this is a simple one-shot. Peritian is very concerned with the integrity of her characters, and it's already very nice of her to have accepted to feature him with me.
