____________________________What a long and wonderful journey it has been to create this comic.
And we're not even halfway through it yet, as this is part one of three!
Anyway, it's time to introduce our little "damsel in distress" and her family properly ^^
As always, I like to give characters Italianized or Latinized names, and in this case our marmot family is no exception.
Tresa is the medieval version of the common italian name Teresa,
while Minolfa and Adelmo are two very old names used in medieval Italy, mostly in the north.
Tresa's surname, Brugnera, comes from the name of a municipality in the Veneto region.
Lastly, the village where they live, Varozza, takes its name from the dialectal way in which Alpine marmots are called here.
Simple characters, of humble origins.
They definitely didn't deserve such bad luck.
But the Prince will certainly not let evil go unpunished, you can be sure of that!
