hot take time! I believe a lot of ghost types, especially the Gastly evo line, are way too overused as antagonists/used by antagonists—typically being seen as irredeemable. this is why a lot of my gengar characters are always depicted as protective figures or just friendly in general. there’s already a thousand pokemon to choose from as antagonists, why not go for something more unique like idk Wooloo or any of the more “hated” pokemon.
