As the title says, this is a typical home for the Betalli on the mainland. (the desert subspecies will be drawn later on)
Their homes are usually one level, of a mixed design with rectangular and round areas and are made of plaster over the hard wood the rest of their furniture and doors are made of.
Usually there is a ramp that leads to a roof-top resting area and as you can see here the roof sometimes sports planters and can even have cushions in the dry climate areas. A roof can hold three-four adults or about seven young at one time and some of the bigger homes for extended families can hold more.
The odd little 'pond' on the left side isn't filled with water, it's filled with sand and ash and is used as a dust bath much like chinchillas use.
Also, these two do not have tail markings for a reason; they are waiting to take on their mark until they mate and figure out how to combine their family marks. They are prospective mates and the marks are put on with ink so this isn't unusual.
