I hope you guys like diagrams. Because this ongoing series is going to have a lot of them.
This handy.. uh. sight bone conveniently highlights magical affects in different colors just when we want to explore those concepts.
I'm going to try to keep a consistent color scheme for this moving forward. So don't forget that yellow means sensation, and green means control.
But the big question I want to answer first is: "If you detach a body part, then stick on a replacement part, can you still feel/control the original?"
I've been excited to start releasing this project. I hope it prompts a lot of discussion. Because I love talking about this kind of thing. I've been holding onto these drawings for a while. But I figured Modular May would be a good time to start releasing them.
Also, wow the paper in these early drawings is really grimy and stained. That's what I get for using cheap printer paper and holding my hand down on it for so long.

I think it depends on a case by case basis. Usually, most folks might just lose control of their old parts in favor of the new parts that they've connected to. But in some cases, folks might only ever connect and control their old parts, or they can control both old and new parts.
You also run into the question of which part is the center of control though, whether it's the head, the body, or some other part.
