An interesting point, when I created the black dragon, it initially had a tongue, although in the illustration it is not there, instead of it there is a strange tube sticking out, from which acid comes out. I knew then that breath can come out of the throat, as it was in the film "Heart of the Dragon", and also on the sides, as was implemented in the wyverns in "House of Dragons". DnD dragons breathe under the tongue, in all the dragon references by Alexander Ostrowski it is visible, but only the black dragon does not have a tongue. Once I came across a video with a python in VK, I noticed that it also has some kind of tube, having decided to study the anatomy, I realized that the basis for all DnD dragons is the feature of the structure of the mouth of snakes.
After analysis, I came to the conclusion that the black dragon does not have a tongue. Why? Because it was burned by acid. The baby black dragons have a black face, and as they grow older they use acid breath more often, which burns their face, the tongue began to dry out and simply died off, and the caustic vapors of the acid burned the black pigment on the face and horns, turning them white, and the mucous membrane of the nose was also burned.
As a result, the tongue was removed and remained in the Zbrush project.
Something like that, what do you think about my thoughts?
Интересный момент, когда я создавал черного дракона, то изначально у него был язык, хотя на иллюстрации его нет, вместо него торчит странная трубка, откуда выходит кислота. Я тогда знал, что дыхание может выходить из глотки, как было в фильме «Сердце Дракона», и также по бокам, как реализовали у виверн в «Дом Драконов». У драконов ДнД дыхание происходит под языком, на всех референсах драконов за авторством Alexander Ostrowski это видно, но только у черного дракона нет языка. Вот однажды я наткнулся в ВК на видео с питоном, я обратил внимание, что у него тоже есть некая трубка, решив изучить анатомию, я осознал, что за основу всех драконов ДнД взята особенность строение пасти змей.
После анализа я пришёл к выводу, что у черного дракона нет языка. Почему? А потому, что его сожгло кислотой. У детенышей черного дракона вся морда черная, и при взрослении они чаще используют кислотное дыхание, которое сжигает их морду, язык стал сохнуть и попросту отмер, а едкие пары кислоты сожгли черный пигмент на морде и на рогах, сделав их белым, да и слизистую носа также выжгло.
В итоге язык был удален и остался в проекте Zbrush.
Как-то так, что вы думаете на мои мысли?

After a while I'm sure the tongue is in fact there, you can open Alexsander Ostrowski's site and look at all the dragons and it seems to me that to the black dragon the tongue is just lying on the bottom of the palate. There is a new dnD dragons book coming out in August, there might be other pictures of the black dragon. Unfortunately FA does not support multiple pictures, so the screenshot from zbrush I tongue I did not show that not to litter in my gallery.
