Happily zombie MD will probably be just as harmless as regular MD so you can probably just ask them to hop into the incinerator themselves.

Really if I was being serious about it that would be a big question. Demon biology runs so much more off of raw magic that I'm not sure the plague would be able to properly zombify them. Though if it did it's be because the plague mutated into a magical offshoot and that would be like the worst possible outcome.
Hey, don't knock that as useless. Path of Exile 2 has very mobile happy bosses and some good skill combo's requires the target to stay still. Normally that's done by having a merc or some other class use the pin status. MD would be very useful for a necro witch build.
When the bosses aren't getting stuck themselves. One later boss has an arena with the walls made by a phalanx of her spear-men. One set of her moves makes her fly up into the air. Me and a friend fought against her, took about 5 tries, but 2 out of those five, and the one that we got her on. She landed inside her phalanx of spear-men and just up and froze there. Not all skills we had hit her because most wouldn't pass by the phalanx but some of mine did. :P
