Commissioned piece for
of his mate Calliope the raccoon and himself as a tribal hunter and gatherer. The idea for this picture stemmed from the batch of realism themed sketches I did a while back, which is why I went with less of a cartoony look with them here. Not sure how much I succeeded. ;)

Gorgeous job. The first thing I notice is your colouring. You have great contrast between the bright orange of the tiger and the green of the background. Your blending on the oranges and yellows and such for him is great. I also love how the stripes are drawn. The female character's pose is also really great. They both have such intense eyes <3
Greetings Luthien,
I’m at the Discworld convention and this is my first chance to get on line.
You can draw raccoons! Really, I love the pose and the facial expressions. You brought out a very realistic style of anthropomorph. Excellent choice of dress for the hunter and the gatherer. The background adds greatly to the drawing without detracting from the characters. A very natural setting. I wish to also thank you for your graciousness over my comments on the realistic sketches. You have proven your ability to adapt to other species and I thank you for taking this commission.
PS Another thank you for adding the earrings on the lovely Callioipe.
