Log #13, The Strange Meowscarada: A strange visitor arrived at our camp last night. It appeared to be a new variation of Meowscarada (A new discovery, so exciting!). It got along well with the other researchers, Dennis in particular seemed to have a grand ol' time watching it perform its strange 'shadow puppetry' as he called it (not surprising considering its a hobby of his). However, its shadow puppets were physical, not limited to being cast upon the ground and could even interact with objects and people at the camp. This Meowscarada called itself 'Hachi' through writing on a strange shadowy whiteboard(?) it pulled from behind its back. It doesn't appear to be able to talk, as it never made a sound when interacting with anything, any expressions were simply shown on its face. It reminded me of the old tales of whimsical spirits as it seemed not to be wary of anyone or anything, even dancing near the open flame with one of its own shadows and then with Noah afterwards. It disappeared after a few hours, skipping along in its whimsy. There were too many things we were unable to document about it, hopefully we'll see it again to take more extensive notes.

Hachi is a unique Meowscarada who does not do normal magic tricks, but instead creates living shadows from its cape that it can puppet around. They are mute but seem to know various languages, using a shadowy whiteboard to communicate with others. They are an extremely whimsical and curious pokemon always wondering about the world, hardly ever staying in one place for long. The tatters on their mask and cloak are assumed to be from battles, though none have ever seen it willingly fight. Their gender is unknown and research into it has had no results at the time of writing.
