Marronians are a race to a very volcanic planet where the further inland you are, the more smoke there is in the sky, their lungs are specialized to filter out toxins, and they are also amphibious, breathing underwater and land, but they don't have to worry about dry skin like merfolk.
Traditionally they wear bright colorful designs on their clothes, their planet is rich in dyes.
They are leech people and can suck blood with their fangs, they also primarily eat meat but also eat fruit though less so, some Marronians also have unique muscle and bones in their jaw to unhinge it, the blood Marronians consume is processed into venom through glands in their tail, and the sharp tip excretes the venom, or if you're coastal and don't have the sharp tip, through glands in the fine hairlike fins in the tail.
Their limbs also tend to differ wildly, some do not have arms, extra arms, or some might have wings instead of arms, might have the bottom half be snakelike or have a centaur-like quadruped body, their architecture is of course built to be inclusive to these body types.

Marronians have demon ancestry, as originally Dysabene, the deity of hatred used demons as a base to make his own people, for them to serve and destroy in his name.
Marronians defied their purpose, and just keep to themselves, they are often notably rude to outsiders, mainly inland, they do not worship Dysabene, in fact they despise the deity of hate and rage, and worship of the hate god is banned on their planet, they instead pay tribute mainly to their ancestors, and primordials like demons.

Their planet is Enokrabuuk, plantlife is often a shade of purplish red, sometimes a dark teal, the massive coast from the one, starfish-shaped ocean, gets sun, while inland is like an eternal night from all the volcanic smoke.
Marronians can look different depending on how far inland they are.
