hahahahaha what is with Babs?

I did this pic back in the days of Space Jam when so much of the fan comunity seemed to view Lola as a replacement, upgrade, or mutation of Babs. Like many Babsie fanartists I had to do a pic that gave Babsie a bit of revenge for being metaphorically replaced.

hm i never thought babs and lola to look like each other at all Babs is pink and Lola is brownish!

I've seen some early Lola development stuff and apearantly a memo about her creation stated that she should be 20% less Babs Bunny, or something to that effect. The early stuff, in choice of costume colors especially, look very similar to Babs.

hmmm now that you do mention it i used to think of Babs as the younger sis of Lola evr since Space Jam.

I myself favored the "not related" belief. I wanted more bunny genetic diversity to prevent inbreeding. :)

The way I always looked at it is that lola was the new girl on the block. Mainly because that's how Warner Bros. portrayed her in the movie.

Babs in the original cartoons was the oldest sibling in her brood. But the odd thing that nobody seems to notice, Buster didn't seem to have parents. O.o

Buster's parentage was very rarely mentioned. They're really only given real mention in the one comercial for TTA fruit snacks.

You must have a good memory, because I can't even remember the fruit snacks themselves.

I never got a chance to try the snacks either, but I do remember the comercial because of the refference to Buster's folks. They actually mention his mom and dad though we never actually get to see them. We just see their POV as they enter the burrow. However every in show ref that I remember suggested to me that Buster was living in the toon equivalent of a school dorm room, though without the rest of the dorm. It also seemed that way with Fifi living in the abandoned car. And we never did get to see Shirley's "haunted house" with the ghost who's so bad at his job nobody's ever seen him.

I had a box of the snacks once. I ate all the girls first. :)
