This engine was built by Beyer Peacock, of Manchester in 1951 and spent its working life on the South African Railways before it was repatriated. Boasting a 2-6-2+2-6-2 wheel arrangement, this the largest (if not, one of the largest) engines to run on a pair of rails just 2ft apart! (It weighs 65 tons!)
