Carving that emblem while he was WEARING the armor ON A SHIP was a truly wretched idea, but I was ever so slightly drunk after that victory and it seemed like a wonderful notion at the time. My hand was steady, at least, and the flower came out quite well.
He still has that flower as his emblem, even now. When I saw him last time and realized that, I burst out crying...
