Normally I don't put up allot of the art I get, as I prefer to let artists upload their own work, but as tonight marked the end of a nearly 3 year long campaign, I figured... why not show off just a bit?
This magnificent piece was done by my roommate Balileart who was also part of the party (the big lizard woman Dott as well as the morally gray cleric Gil over on the evil side).
Also part of the party where Balile's partner Fel (not pictured here as she joined later) playing Marty the kanku Wizard
pawsetto as Ketch the sea elf swashbuckler
firewing181 as Barnubus the gnoll (and later vampire) paladin and Plum the bunny assassin
unsavoryrepute as Ferny the kobold bard-warlock-claric gunslinger
goldengryphon as Opel the stoner coyote druid
And also pictured is
occamssword as Viatrix the gnoll wizard even though ironically she was only around for like two sessions but they just happened to line up with when this picture was being planned so we have the wrong wizard here... still Occam is lovely and she's now in my Pathfinder game so it works out.
Aside from the PCs, we also have the heroic allies the goblin Captain Redtooth, her sister and first mate Lash, Lash's eventual rat husband Itchtail and friendly human wizard Ms. Elizabeth Indigo... who by the end of the campaign is transformed into a blue dragon born and eventually becomes The Story Teller.
And on the villain side we have the world serpent Jormungandr and his Orc split personality/alternate form Captain Razor Maw (AKA Raz), Barnubus's sister Barry 'The Iron Gnoll' Bluepaw, Lady Catarina (AKA The litch Lady Hel), the drow ex-adventure turned vampire lord and secret giant wolf Rutger Rivers (AKA Fenrir God Eater) and Gil with her patron god Loki, the mother of the three pirate lords. Also bunch of undead because... well litchs and evil clerics use undead.
Of the members of 'team evil' half of them end up getting redeemed by the end, because this was very much a, "Lets adopt every enemy possible!" Party. Itchtail was an early game enemy they adopted, not pictured here by Wretched the ghoul was a red haring in a murder investigation they also adopted and Jormundander/Raz, Barry and Gil all got a chance to join the heroes for the finale battle.
As for the rest of the story... well its 3 years worth of adventures, 54 sessions of games... its allot.
But, well... Hazel thinks it would make for a fun novel and while I don't think it would work as is... I could see a modified version of it actually being a pretty fun novella perhaps...

It was a good time, though I am VERY much done with D&D for awhile.
Fun game, but after 3 years of this campaign of this game and 2 years previous with another, I'm ready to switch over to Pathfinder, but even then not till after taking a nice long break with some indy RPGs first.

We use Pathfinder 2e which is much less complex and allot more stream lined then 1e and we run on Fantasy Grounds Unity not Roll20. I loath Roll20, its fine as a free product, but the amount it charges to be comparable to basically any other functional virtual table top is absurd and even when you pay for premium its underwhelming compared to Foundry and Fantasy Grounds.
Luckily for Roll20, now D&D's own 'Sigil' is out and it can be the hands down worst big name VTT on the market instead! Hooray!
