Ok, so things goes like this
"Today we need your urgent support. We are raising funds for Luis Castillo's family to cover basic expenses for the legal proceedings in which he is involved.
Luis (the guy with the bee costume) is a victim of Monterrey goverment: While the group "Colectivo voz de los usuarios" (Voice of Users) was protesting for accessible transportation in Nuevo León, México, Luis was arrested, brutally beaten, and now faces a disproportionate and aggressive legal process. His only "crime"? Having defended decent and affordable transport service for all of us.
He is currently under house arrest with an ankle shackle, unable to work or earn an income to support his family. The financial pressure at home is very severe, and he needs our solidarity more than ever.
Your contribution will help cover his legal defense and provide him with a small respite in this fight, which is also ours.
Every peso counts. Thank you for being part of this force."

As you have read, Luis is an activist, friend of mine who was injustly arrested and we need donations to help him. The next hearing will be in a month and he has not been able to raise even half of what he requires (around 100k MXN) so his case is currently "delayed", please go to the GoFoundme and CHECK the currency before sending money

Now, some context about what is happening in my city:
Monterrey is currently facing a public transportation crisis that is becoming UNSUSTAINABLE as never seen before: people waiting for bus for an hour or more, travel times of more than 2 hours, buses that literally burns due to extreme hot weather and on top of that, fares have increased despite service is worse than ever. Not only that, we also had an unprecedented environmental pollution crisis, a rise in respiratory tract infections due to polluting emissions from companies, factories causing ecological genocide with their acid wastes in the FEW rivers we have left, and yet the imbecile governor wants to build a highway over the Santa Catarina River, one of the MOST IMPORTANT nature reserves in the city of Monterrey, and there seems to be no authority that can stop this because there is a lot of money at stake, as always greedy businessmen destroying nature at will, corruption in all its splendor.
So, faced with these problems, the Colectivo Voz de los Usuarios (of which I am a member) emerged as a voice of the people crying out for help, a seed of social change. The movement has only been going since January of this year, but the founder (Luis Castillo) had already been threatened multiple times to stop the marches, until he was captured by police on April 19th of present year.
There is ample evidence of the attacks on Luis, even leaving his face covered in blood, but for now we are not allowed to share them openly because recommendations of his lawyers. However, I can show you links to posts about all the activities, marches, and videos of the repression that day. Unfortunately, in Mexico, we still use Facebook and TikTok a lot, so all the evidence is on these networks, please take a minutes to watch them:
