What kind of person raised a girl like Klara from Pokemon Sword and Shield...? the answer I came upon was this: A doting mother who'd do anything, *anything*, for her perfect darling girl (who has done nothing wrong ever in her life)... and who has the legal know-how and ruthless determination to get that job done!

Barbara is a retired attorney, formerly known as "the Poisoner" to her enemies in court, who's currently living off payments from a MASSIVE settlement between herself and her daughter's father. She's her daughter's biggest fan, having bought at least 6 of the 8 sold copies of Klara's debut album and always encouraging her to pursue her dreams. She also instilled in Klara the age-old adage of "work smarter, not harder," perhaps contributing to Klara's own lazy tendencies. To this day, Barbara is content to spend her time relaxing with her friends and Pokemon at her home in Stow-on-Side, but if she or her Slurpuff sense even the slightest whisper of a plot against her or her loved ones, she will gladly take up her legal arms again.

Though she was never a professional Pokemon Trainer or interested in the Pokemon Gym Circuit, there were once rumors that she was involved in Stow-on-Side's Gym changing from a Psychic Type Gym to the typing it has today (either Fighting or Ghost depending on the 'verse). Barbara herself has gone on record to set things straight, making it clear that there was no evidence of any legal wrongdoing and not even any motive for scheming towards the downfall of Stow-on-Side's psychic noble family. So don't you worry about any unsavory gossip one might hear about her, m'kay?~
