évanescence sketch
A sketch for one of my bigger pieces for the upcoming EF art show.
Just to let you know I'm still working and painting. As work is progressing slowly, I'll probably end up working a few nights extra to get everything finished - this piece is one of the pieces I want to get done and turn out great at all cost. Cross your fingers for me. ;)
The original is supposed to be around 17,5"x25,5", I'll paint it with acrylics and maybe some airbrush.
Oh well ... I also wanted to upload sketches and stuff once in a while so you might be able to get a little more insight in my way of working. :)
So ... I usually do a sketch, scan it, trace it/copy it on the paper I want to paint on. Then I start defining light and shadow on the sketch - it helps me working faster and messing up less when working with acrylics as I don't have to keep thinking about the shadows while painting. Defining the form on the sketch with light and shadow is actually one of my favorite parts while working. :)
Now then ... I hope you like the sketch and ... feel free to tell me what you think. :)

You're flattering me, but thank you. :) Well ... seeing all those awesome artists around here and elsewhere, learning new things every day ... I still have a long way to go before I'm actually really at the point you seem to see me at.

der SToff ist Klasse geworden ^^ ich liebe Falten selber sehr - und die sind Klasse. :D
Was ich persönlich denke, ist dass man vieleicht die Merkmale der Tierart deutlicher machen kann. Ich muss zugeben dass ich dachte, dass es eine Katze ist, wegen der kleinen Ohren und der Schnauze. Ich weiß nicht welche Fuchsrasse es werden soll, aber vielleicht würde auch etwas mehr Backenfluff helfen?
Ansonsten finde icha uch die Schattierung super :) Freue mich auf das Endresulttat.

Hey Eos, danke dir! Bei den Falten hab ich aber etwas gemogelt und mir so ziemlich eine Referenz in der Realität geschaffen. :')
Und tatsächlich hast du recht ... größere Ohren könnten helfen ... und kleinere Augen. Über den Backenfluff werd ich auch nochmal nachenken. Vielen Dank auf jeden Fall, das ist sehr hilfreich. :)
