I put all sketch/WIP pieces on to this one file (kind of step by step thing?) Every picture have a number and small description.
1. Very rough sketch and original background idea (sketching on grid paper is cool, do it).
2. I did dragon's head on different paper and later combined them.
3. Traced the dragon to A3 sized paper.
4. I tried bg colors on this one and you can see some finnish texts about colors (just some mental notes for myself)
5. Shading and painting....
6. Got rid off the pillar with stone dragon twisting around it (it was too hard for me to color/shade). Dragon was also wrong colored in this one (too copper-like) and background was just boring.
7. Final piece with base color and new background.
