Jaydar is actually a nickname for this lithe gryphon. Their actual name is Jaydek Silverwing. For the obvious orange rings and dots on his body, Jaydar is an easy nickname. His friends also call him "Gray Jay," a teasing nickname that's meant to "dull" the prestigious-sounding family name. Jaydar doesn't mind - they're comfortable with who they are and take the teasing in stride.

Jaydar is also embodies the qualities that I (myself) aspire to hold - confidence, grace, easy determination, and a comfortable perception that the world around them exists as it is.
