In story lore: the ShellFire was originally going to be the primary attack ship of the Factions though since the N.S.R.Os Firestorms went into production, said ship was confirmed to be out of service before it had even been released. The reason for this was the fact that the Firestorm was a better overall fighter ship in almost every way including speed, weaponry and overall manoeuvrability. The ship’s production was put on hold but after figuring out that Firestorms were also cheaper, they straight up threw out the design entirely.
The original prototype was eventually given to bounty hunter, 012 as a somewhat gift but also you put it to some use before it was ultimate due to be scrapped but 012 kept the ship and made his own adjustment to it to make it better than Firestorms in general.

IRL lore: this ship was drawn back in 2022 for a little fun. Only recently did I decide that this ship would be 012s main vehicle of choice for his missions after rediscovering it in my old drawings. Though 012 isn’t mentioned much, know that he’ll be coming back into the storyline again soon enough.
