Revenant-class
• VTOL, fixed-wing aircraft optimized for attack/assault roles with integrated reconnaissance capabilities.
• Piloted by an undead avian, providing natural 3D spatial awareness and full immunity to the physical stresses of G-forces.
• Operator are followers of the Dracolich and specialize in necrotic magic. Most are undead, created through unholy pacts, unwilling reawakening, or battlefield reclamation. Some dragons attach Dracolich followers to their units to maintain unit tempo, maintain manpower, and prevent loss of HVT (High Value Targets). However, such agreements are rare, as the dragon relinquishes control over the revived assets.
• Pilots communicate with their mounts using a form of vocal stenography—an ultra-fast, instinctive language that outpaces traditional motor and verbal commands. In defensive mode, pilots can dismount and operate the aircraft remotely via this bond. Each language is unique to the pilot-mount pair and is immune to enemy command or suggestion spells.
• Sensors include the ASIP (Arcane Spectrum Intelligence Package), which integrates AS-Vs (Arcane Spectrum-Viewers). Arcane data is routed into the pilot’s C.A.S.T-G (Computational Arcane Sensory Translator – Glyphs) embedded in the helmet, allowing efficient interpretation and prioritization of magical activity.
• Physical sensors include IFR, thermal, and clear digital feeds, providing the pilot with an unobstructed 360° field of vision.
• VTOL design emphasizes speed and maneuverability over armor, relying on spell charges and drone interception for defense.
• Hardwire and fiber optic redundancies bridge physical and magical systems within both the VTOL and its supporting aberrant drones. This hybrid network provides resistance to both EW (Electronic Warfare) and MW (Magical Warfare), increasing survivability during recon missions and CAS (Close Air Support).
• Considered a division-level asset, typically attached to brigade elements for recon missions. Its loss significantly reduces a division’s capacity to identify threats and track High Value Targets (HVTs).
