I've never really done an allegorical picture before but i thought to do it now.
Take it as you will but please reflect upon it.
But know that this can represent ANYBODY, whether you believe or not. We are all struggling at the same time.
But yes, I have and currently am and will continue to struggle all my life. But im not alone.
HE is not there because I know HE is there to help me carry it.
Please do not feel that what im expressing is grief but endurance, and soon, triumph.
I started drawing this after hearing this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QbdJjSqgUog
It was to commemorate the composer's 150th birthday a few days ago, but also it relates to what i am portraying in the picture. If you listen, then hopefully you will understand.

Wonderful piece, both of them. Looking at this though, I couldn't help but be reminded of the similar imagery at the end of the Jesus Walks music video where a Klansman carries a flaming cross up a mountain after it had tumbled down into some dry brush at the bottom of said mountain.
