"That gothy girl I see you hanging out with is soooo cool," Ellen sighed wistfully.

Sadie blinked. Did she know anybody cool? She followed Ellen's line of sight to Sable sitting nearby (but out of earshot). Sable was talking to Alyson, laughing at something the sheep said. Her jacket had slid down her arms to expose her shoulders.

In a certain light, Sable did look kind of cool! Talking to her would dispel that impression as Sable was actually an insecure dork. To be fair, Sadie meant that with great affection for her entertaining disaster friend. Some of Sadie's favorite people were insecure dorks. Although... Ellen seemed like an even bigger dork so she'd probably still think Sable was cool.

(And as a side note, Ellen seemed like friend material.)

"Want me to set you up with her?" Sadie asked. They were making very little progress with their class work because Ellen kept glancing over at Sable and sighing wistfully. Something had to be done.

"Does she like girls?" asked Ellen quickly.

"She has an unexamined crush on a superhero," Sadie said. "But we could put a cape on you, see if that does anything for her."

"You're teasing," Ellen accused, blushing.

"Yes," Sadie admitted.

This was a gift sketch!

Wow, looking at time stamps this is from two years ago. Having so many characters to rotate between, some pictures get sat on for a while.

Sable is so often naked or not wearing her jacket in pictures so this sketch reminds me how cool her total outfit is. As crazy as this sounds to say, maybe I should get more pictures of her fully dressed.
