Out in the barren desert the only stretch of land bridging the H.U.N. and the wilderness Jacob roamed, heading deeper toward the wilderness. Behind him, he felt something unnatural: a sudden rush of wind, strange in a place known for its still, airless silence.
He turned to find the male dragon Offilia hovering above the rocky, sand-choked wasteland.
"You dare set foot here?" the dragon growled, his voice rolling through valley.
White smoke hissed from the filters of Jacob’s mask.
"You..." Jacob began, his voice cold and echoing behind the mask. "You’re the demon I never thought I’d meet the damned dragon that destroyed my hometown."
"Your home?" Offilia scoffed. "I don’t recall such an attack. But I know who you are. You're the human behind the Slayers. You’ve cost hundreds no thousands of my kind their lives."
The dragon’s voice deepened into a guttural growl.
Jacob pointed at him, locking eyes with the massive creature.
"I cured cancer. I gave the paralyzed back their legs. And you...you took my parents, devoured my baby sister. That day, you attacked, that set me on this path. The path to cleanse this world of the corrupt, and its monsters."
His voice rose, trembling with a fury long held back.
"Then perhaps you’d like to join your beloved sister!" Offilia roared, diving toward Jacob with his jaws wide open.
Unfazed, Jacob stood his ground. As the dragon closed in, his hand reached for one of the canisters strapped to his chest. His research was not only to make the dragon slayers, but also to make himself into the ultimate slayer. He would not back down from this final confrontation.

I read a bit about these character and am pretty fascinated by their motives and origins! Biological and chemical warfare can lead to pretty devastating results and bleak worlds, so I hope Jacob is prepared to commit to a decision like that. After all, I’m a fan of revenge stories.
I’d love to hear more about Offilia, though, since I can’t find his backstory or origins, as well as what happens in the aftermath of this piece!

Well havent shared alot of the lore on FA.
In short Offilia was once a member of the dragonic empire serving under the Emperor: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/54461118/
But after the unification wars. Where the H.U.N formed. (Humanities United Nation) Tension between the magic using dragons, and the technological advance humans was high.
Jacob as a teen showed promise, as he became an expert in genetics and infectious diseases at a young age. That made him able discover ways to alter a persons genetics. To for one make nerve cells heal.
But Offilia took a young dragon in training with him, and choose to raid Jacobs home town. The young dragon was killed, and Offilia crushed Jacobs parents and ate his sister. Which made Jacob swore to end dragons.
And then he went on to study halfbreeds like: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/42408711/
Where he learned how to alter a person. To become much stronger and durable. So he made the slayers. Genetic modified humans, that is able to take a fully grown adult dragon, on hand to claw combat.
And Jacob is ready to use chemical and biological weapons. The H.U.N uses them normally. He is blinded by his revenge goal. That he doesnt care how much ruin he will make.

I see! thanks for sharing the lore! looking forward to seeing more of what you've got cooking, especially the dragon empire and HUN. was there a particular reason for raiding human towns like scouting, attacking strategic objectives and such? and are dragon population severely weakened due to Jacob's creations? it definitely sounds like a messy scenario, with plenty of widespread destruction. if you got more of your stories/lore to share, I'm looking forward to it! big fan of conflicts with dragons!
