Oh yeah I was excluding those when I said "only one bone". Sorry.
But what about adding one big bone that control the entire trident just for ease in case you don't need it? (I know the first bone in the chain at the bottom of the trident works but it's kinda janky if you want to try placing the trident from that point of rotation instead of having it in the middle)
