Traveling long distances can be exhausting, even for a Dragon that is used to being on the wing for a day. Soaring on updrafts do help a lot, but still imagine you hanging on your stretched out arms a whole day and what a great feeling it is to see just the perfect spot to rest. After a gentle touchdown folding the wings in and even dropping them to the ground is the best feeling.
After his travel companion setup camp and the fire slowly dying the clouds clear up and sky lights up with stars.

But for the northern lights

We shot the breeze under pine trees
And sat around the fire
We hit the hay beneath the Milky Way
