You seem to be forgetting to draw in the parts that are obscured by the hair. This makes the picture have a sunken in, awkward look. Remember always to draw the shape of the head first, and THEN the hair flowing around it, rather than on top of it. This will stop problems such as the eyes being way too far apart, since you'll know exactly where on the head it is.
