Personality

Nika was an emotionally distant, sociopathic child who saw relationships as transactional. She mirrored others’ emotions to fit in, rarely understanding her own. Over time, especially after meeting Liora, she grew more aware of the emotions that genuinely affected her: anger, betrayal, and, confusingly, protectiveness. While she never becomes emotionally “normal,” she learns to manage her manipulative tendencies and prioritize the few people she truly cares for. She values brutal honesty, detests liars, and if she does save the world, it’s only for the sake of the people she loves, not for any noble cause.

A punk themed dragon-cat hybrid, Nika combines the fierce blood of dragons with feline agility and grace.

Fur: Deep, dark purple with darker accents on limbs and tail
Hair: Straight, waist-length, blunt-cut bangs, even darker purple
Eyes: Bright, glowing green, feral and calculating
Facial Markings: White muzzle and markings beneath eyes, with two whisker-like tufts on each cheek

Backstory

Born in the scorched volcanic shadows of a place few dare name, Nika is the illegitimate hybrid daughter of an ancient dragon and a feline wanderer. From childhood, she was clever, emotionally detached, and manipulative—she lit the first match when her home burned. Drifting from clan to clan, she exploited every opportunity, weaponizing affection and unraveling communities from within.

But her encounter with Liora, a warm-hearted bard too stubborn to be fooled, shifted something. Nika stayed close at first for practical reasons—protection, strategy, convenience. But eventually, emotions she’d never understood before began to burn: loyalty, guilt, love. Now, she doesn't just drift. She fights to protect, in her own violent, fiery way.

She won't save the world for heroism’s sake. She'll do it to keep the people she chooses alive.
