SO, FA decided to get full while I tried to originally upload this. x3
I call fail on that.
ANYWAY, I've been working on this piece since Thursday night, a night which I found this young lady by the name of Peanut with a Gorgeous voice. I thought this song would be perfect for her.
"Coming Back" is a dance track originally constructed by the Italian DJ and Producer, "DJ Dado" back in 1997. My goal for this track is to re-vamp the quality of the track and bring it into the 21st century without loosing the 90's essence that comes with the song. ^^
For reference, here is the original version of the song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0OkEKPjPxTE
All forms of composition, melodies, and lyrics are obviously a copyright of DJ Dado, and I do not claim any form of his artistic technique and form for his work is THE SHIT. ^^
I Have not finished composition and layering on the chorus portion of this track. My processor can't take the load of the song. SO, I'm going to finish composing this piece on my friend Seth's SUPER LAPTOP. ^^ I plan on either adding 2 or 3 breathy airy pads, or 1 breathy pad with a soft saw... We'll see about all that though. ^^
Also, along the lines of Critique, tell me: Am I too bass'y on this one? I think I may have gone a little overboard with the bass spectrum on this one, but I want your opinion. ^^
Also, Do the bongo drums make the song too busy at certain portions?
WIP will be scrapped later.

Very clean and smooth. I think the bongos are good. If they were any crisper it would take away from the undertones. But I think they are very well done. I think you did very well with the reverb as well. However, I did not listen too the original so I don't know exactly what you have changed. All and all though, I like this and can't wait to hear the finished product. ^_^
Thank you very much darling! =D
I was actually considering taking out the bongo's at certain points just to clean up the busy-ness of the track, But, I think I'm going to go by what you say. ^^
Oh god, I'm a Reverb Whore. Not kidding. xD I think every track on this song, with the exception of the kick bass, has SOME FORM of reverb. It helps give a nice filling and layering effect to the track, and it really amplifies that smoothness you're hearing. ^^
My suggestion: take a look at the youtube link in the description. ^^ It's a good song, trust me! =D

After listening to the original, I noticed that the doubling on the rhythm keys is a lot richer than in yours. I think that with the right doubling, and losing some of the lower bass tones on the rhythm keys you will ultimately bring them out into the forefront like in the original. Again this is only my humble opinion. I have never used editing software. All I have are my ears... ...and I SO want to hear it when it's done. ^_^
My ultimate goal is to get rhythmic depth and richness out of the staccato sequence synths, or the Arps (arpeggio's) if you will. ^^
I could double up the samples, but I feel the rich sound of each drum/ high hat would take away from the musical quality of the work.
But, knowing how bored I get, I will probably try this at some point just to see what happens. xD

It's ok, and yes, this is the one that I've showed you.
I want Peanut's voice on this. ^^
Oh, and while I have your attention: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5847026/
