Honestly I've been a fan since seeing the Tiny Toon Adventures music videos of "Istanbul (Not Constantinople)" and "Partical Man".
Cool fact, my dad is friends with the manager of the band (I'll call him Jammie for simplicity's sake). I've been backstage to see them a few times. Dad even said he's the inspiration for their song for the opening of Malcom in the Middle, "Boss of Me".
The way Dad said it, he was on a night out with Jamie and my Mom when he said that when he was kid he was always telling his parent's 'you're not the boss of me'. And now that he's an adult he thought his kids (me and my brother) would be saying it to him. But he joked he's still saying it to his kids. Jammie liked the story, told the Giants about it, and that was inspiration for the song. Dad even got Jammie to later confirm this.
Naturally none of us want to seek any sort of monitary claim on it. It's just a cool fact and one of Dad's 'claim to fame' moments he talks about sometimes. ^_^

Baroque Hoedown is the theme for the Main Street Electrical Parade at the various Disney Parks originally composed by electronic music pioneers Jean-Jacques Perrey and Gershon Kingsley. They Might Be Giants did a cover of it for the Disney Mania 2 album that was released in 2004.
